During the Spring & Fall the Greater Reading Mental Health Alliance in association with NAMI of Berks County, offers educational teachings and seminars. Topics range from practical daily living skills to understanding issues of clinical mental health disorders. Experts in their field and guest facilitators have presented past topics including, "Living With Bipolar Disorder," "How to Improve Your Memory," "Facts About Psychiatric Hospitalization," "Borderline Personality Disorder," and "Supporting Loved Ones With Mental Health Issues." All are welcome, but are asked to reserve a space in advance due to limited attendance capacities. For the most part, all of our educational offerings are free to NAMI members, although some seminars require a nominal donation.
As a NAMI member, you
are automatically notified of upcoming events and receive a free monthly
magazine produced by the
National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Membership to join NAMI is based on a sliding scale beginning at $3.00. If
you would like to become a member, simply fill out the form below. We will contact you within ten days with
specific information about about becoming a member of NAMI and all the
benefits!
