Spring is almost here! It's always encouraging to see the crocus peeking through the wintery brush, and here at GRMHA preparations for Spring are well under way. This year's NAMI Spring educational topics are right on target. Check out the flyers for each of these workshops at Upcoming Events. And, would you help us spread the word by printing and distributing/posting the flyers to appropriate audiences? Let us know if you would like a particular flyer in PDF format for easy printing. To see a complete list of all of our printable materials currently available visit our printables page .
We are also still offering our winter fund-raiser original consumer designed Everyone Wins t-shirts and BRAND NEW Iron-On Transfers.
We have also been very busy getting our Peer Support Services up and rolling. Covered by Medicare, if you or someone you know is starting or re-starting your recovery, doing it with a certified peer support worker can make you that much stronger through a mentoring relationship. Visit the Peer Support link for more details. Although it has been a mild winter, many people find that at this time of year they feeling more blue than usual. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a real thing, and there are practical things that you can do to make next year a little easier. That Xanax Time of Year might be just the help you need. As a reminder, BCTV has hosted several programs featuring our efforts here at The Greater Reading Mental Health Alliance. You can check out the programs on streaming replay (click show title): Berks Boomers, Applauding Life After 50, Hot Topics and Talking Mental Health. Each month we like to highlight a specific venue of service that we offer. This month we are taking a look back at the history of The Mental Health Association here in Berks County, called, A WALK BACK IN TIME (click here to view). Our goal at The Greater Reading Mental Health Alliance is to help, encourage and empower the lives of individuals and their loved ones in Berks County who have experienced issues in the area of mental health. Please don't hesitate to contact us any time - We Are Here For You!
